The Windsor/Severance Colorado FFA Alumni and Supporters, in partnership with the Weld RE-4 School District, will host a career and technical education career fair for 500 high school juniors and seniors later this month at Severance High School.
The fair will run 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24, and it will connect northern Colorado students with more than 20 businesses and 15 post-secondary institutions for career advice and guidance on the best path to high-demand trades and hands-on careers.
Students attending the fair will be from Weld RE-4, Greeley-Evans School District 6, Weld RE-5J School District, Weld RE-3J School District, Weld RE-9 Highland/Ault and Destinations Career Academy of Colorado.
Some of the businesses will be offering on-the-spot interviews for direct employment and applications for apprenticeships and/or internships, according to information from the Weld RE-4 School District.
Post-secondary institutions attending: Aims Community College; Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts; Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology; Front Range Community College; Lincoln Tech; McCair Aviation; Mid-Plains Community College; Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture; Northeastern Junior College; Oklahoma Panhandle State University; Otero Junior College; Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology; Universal Technical College; Western Nebraska Community College and WyoTech.
