WAUSAU – Schuette Metals recently made a financial donation to the Wausau School District Career and Technical Education program to advance the Wausau East and Wausau West high schools’ manufacturing curriculum, Wausau School District announced this week.
The money helped buy industry 4.0 equipment. East High and West High manufacturing students will have the opportunity to learn about mechatronics, robotic operations and production technician and access to a Fanuc robotic arm, a manufacturing training and assessment system teaching students about automation processes, robotics and AC/DC electrical processes. Students will have the opportunity to earn smart automation credentials that demonstrate industry knowledge and skills with industry 4.0 advanced manufacturing equipment.
Schuette Metals has been a leader in synergizing the manufacturing industry through the Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance, sponsoring high school SkillsUSA students, hiring youth apprenticeship students, and supporting other district programs like the welding competitions, and the Eighth Grade Heavy Metal Tour.
