Jaipur: The state food and civil supplies department department is developing a state-level online software for procurement of wheat at minimum support price (MSP) in the coming Rabi season. Through this software, registration of farmers at the purchase centres, procurement of wheat and payment at MSP can be done online, said food secretary Naveen Jain.
The secretary said, “Minimum information will be sought from farmers through the state-level software in order to make procurement of wheat at MSP easy and hassle-free,” said Jain.
“On entering the number of the farmer’s Jan Aadhaar card on the software, all information will be compiled automatically. On the basis of this information, a registration slip will be issued to the farmer at the purchase centre,” he added.
“On the basis of this slip, farmers will be able to sell their produce easily in the market at MSP. In addition, the payment to the farmer in the bank account will be ensured in 2-3 days,” said Jain.
Earlier, the state’s consumer affairs department had launched the e-filing portal through which consumers will be able to register their complaints with the commissions online. Facilities like e-notices, link to download case documents, VC link for hearing through video conference, facility to file written reply by the opposite party and alerts on SMS and e-mail are available on this platform.
