FuboTV is now one of the oldest live TV streaming services on the market. FuboTV first launched on January 1st, 2015, as a soccer streaming service. Later on, in 2017, it expanded its channel lineup to take on services like Sling TV and PlayStation Vue. Now with just over 1.06 million subscribers, FuboTV has tried to be the streaming service for sports fans.
FuboTV is not only a live TV streaming service but also a content creation company. With the launch of its ad-supported live TV channel The Fubo Sports Network, FuboTV has hoped to be able to cash in on the world of sports and gambling.
Recently FuboTV has struck deals to bring its free streaming services to multiple other platforms, including The Roku Channel and Amazon’s Freevee streaming service.
More recently, many have started to wonder when FuboTV will turn a profit. Now that the company is 8 years old there is honest speculation about when and how the company will turn a profit.
Recently FuboTV walked away from its sports betting service investments. This service was at one point seen as how FuboTV would become profitable. Now though, FuboTV has written off the sports betting service as it returns to focus on its live TV service and ad-supported sports channel.
FuboTV has stood out against other services by offering free 4K streaming when others have charged. You can also get 1,000 hours of free cloud-based DVR that never delete, unlike some services. You can also get up to 10 screens of viewing at once on many of their plans.
So the question now is, what does the future hold for FuboTV? Will they find a way to become profitable before running out of money? For now, only time will tell.
