Disney’s streaming service has been available in Denmark since September 2020, but from March YouSee and Telmore customers will be able to include Disney+ in their subscriptions.
The deal will enable YouSee to expand its flexible entertainment offering, Bland Selv, where Danes can put together a package consisting of individual TV channels and streaming services. The addition of Disney’s streamer to Bland Selv means that YouSee can now offer access to the five largest streaming services in Denmark: Netflix, TV 2 Play, Viaplay, Disney+ and HBO Max.
Telmore, which has 750,000 mobile customers, is also to offer Disney+ to its Play customers, who already have access to a range of streaming services as part of their subscription.
“We are delighted to be able to offer Disney+ to YouSee and Telmore’s many customers and give them easy access to thousands of movies and series from Disney’s world-class studios. We have been collaborating with Nuuday for a long time, and I look forward to working even more closely with them through these brand new offers to customers,” said Hans van Rijn, SVP and Country Manager, The Walt Disney Company Nordic and Baltic.
“The vast majority of us watch both TV and streaming during the week. With Bland Selv, you as a customer get the opportunity to do just that in an easy and intuitive way. The addition of Disney+ in Bland Selv is a clear strengthening of our offer, and we look forward to – as the first in Denmark – being able to give our customers access to great titles such as Turning Red, The Mandalorian and The King’s Man,” said Christian Morgan, CEO at YouSee.
“The addition of Disney + to the Telmore Play portfolio allows us to deliver an even stronger Play product to our customers. At the same time, we are proud to be the first mobile bundle in Denmark to include Disney +,” said Henrik Lehman, CEO of Telmore.
